INTRODUCTION
Keezharnelli (Phyllanthus neriuri) is also known as Bhumyamalaki in Sanskrit. According to ayurveda, it is the most commonly available medicine for the ottamooli treatment.
FEATURES OF KEEZHARNELLI
The plant is small tropical herb that usually grows 15 to 30 centimeter height. It has a straight stem with bright green or read colored and leaves are branching to both side same as symmetrically. The fruits are arranged in neat capsule underneath the leaves. In such away, the plant called as keezharnelli which means berries underneath. The fruits are formed from whitish or pale green flowers formed beneath the leaves it has been used in ayurveda, Siddha for the treatment of the stomach, liver, Kidney, and spleen and treat chronic fever.

The chemical constituents isolated from the plant are glycosides, alkaloids, flavonoids, terpenoids, lignans, polyphenols, tannins, coumarins and saponins

ANTIMICROBIAL ACTIVITY OF KEEZHARNELLI
Antimicrobial activity is a process of inhibiting the disease causing microbs. Kizharnelli contains large amount of effective antimicrobial agent to treat bacterial infection. In the new researches found the ellagic acid in Keezharnelli and assessed its effect on HBV-infected HepG2/C3A cells as a potential agent to prevent the development and progression of hepatitis Virus and HCC in chronic HBV carriers.

FOR MENSTRUAL DISORDERS
The whole plant grinds as paste bowl. This mixture approximately 3 to 6 gram mixed with rice stock water and drink twice a day. It helps to arrest the blood flow in menstrual period.
FOR HYPERSENSITIVITY
The whole plant make in the form of paste. This paste mix with curd and drink it. This solution is most effective in all types of hypersensitivity.
FOR EYE
The Keezharnelli grind with Rock salt and make a paste. This paste holds some times in a Bronze pot and applied on your eye. It is most effective for eye injuries.
